Adebisi<\/strong>\u00a0is a Professor In Intelligent Infrastructure Systems, and the Head of the Smart Infrastructure and Industry Research (SIIR) Group, Department of Engineering, Manchester Metropolitan University. He received Master\u2019s degree in Advanced Mobile Communication Engineering and Ph.D. in Communication Systems both from Lancaster University, UK. Before that, he had a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He was a Research Associate\/Senior Research Associate in the School of Computing and Communication, Lancaster University between 2005 and 2012. Between 2010 and 2012, he was a Work Package Leader of a successfully completed EU FP7 (agreement no. 247750)-smart grid Project.<\/p><p>He is the current Vice Chair of IEEE TC-PLC. He has been General Chair \/ Co &#8211; Chair of IEEE conferences, e.g. 21st IEEE ISPLC, UK, 6th IEEE Int\u2019l Conference on Smart Grid Communications, USA, etc. He is Panel Member of the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Peer Review College, and an EU Expert Reviewer\/ rapporteur.<\/p><p>His research is in embedding sensing, communication, control, and data analytic technologies in critical infrastructure, i.e. water, energy, transport (V2X\/CAV), buildings etc. He publishes widely in the research areas of Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, smart grids, peer to peer energy trading and sharing, Electric Vehicles (V2X\/CAVs), PLC\/wireless communication and indoor solutions for energy and occupancy management.<\/p><p>He has published over 170 peer-reviewed papers, and has been part of multi-partner, multi-country projects as Investigator. He has a strong track record of attracting industrial related grants through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP). One of such projects with Aquacheck Engineering, an SME in greater Manchester, received the Best KTP Project of the Year Awards at the KTP Best of the Best Awards in September 2020.<\/p><p>Bamidele is a Fellow of IET, Senior member of IEEE, a Fellow of Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Engineer.<\/p><p>He has been Principal Investigator (PI), Co-Investigator (CI) and Research Investigator (RI) for many research projects awarded in the subject area such as:<br><strong>2015 \u2013 2020:<\/strong>\u00a0PI ( Principle Investigator) \u2018Triangulum\u2019 \u2013 a EU H2020 Smart Cities and Communities solutions project integrating energy, transport, ICT sectors.
