A 75-year-old man’s death is being treated as ‘possibly suspicious’ by police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have launched an investigation into the death of beloved grandfather, Geoffrey Ives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Geoffrey Ives was pronounced dead at a house on Hardfield Street, Heywood, near Rochdale on 29 January after police were called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DCI David Moores said: \u201cOur enquiries have now brought us to a point in the investigation where we are able to appeal to members of the public to ask for more information\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ives’ family have paid tribute to him and said: “He has been there and supported us throughout our lives”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His family remember him as someone who was \u201calways putting us first\u201d. He was also known as “the best dad, grandad, uncle and friend to us all\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers are gathering evidence from the scene and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
