#LeanOnMe is a campaign aimed at raising awareness for the need to support those who are uneducated and untrained in dealing with a person that is suffering from a mental health disorder such as anxiety or depression.<\/p>\n

With 19.7% of people in the UK aged 16 and over showing symptoms of anxiety or depression, mental health awareness is currently the focus of much discussion in many areas of society. In response to this discussion many mental health charities such as Mind<\/a>, SANE<\/a> and Young Minds<\/a> have been set up to aid those who are suffering.<\/p>\n

One of the main pieces of advice those charities give, is for the sufferer to talk to someone such as friends or family. With such a lot of emphasis on getting suffers to talk about what is bothering them, there has been a severe lack of information being given to the people they are talking to, often leaving them overwhelmed and not knowing what to do.<\/p>\n

The #LeanOnMe campaign is aiming to support people by creating a platform for people to access information from experts and normal people who have felt helpless in situations involving others with mental health issues.<\/p>\n
