Husband Adrian will support her by being her consort, using his knowledge from his previous counselling career.<\/p>\n<p>Jenny, 71, said: \u201cIt is such a huge honour to be selected to serve the wonderful people of Oldham in this way \u2013 I never expected it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am genuinely humbled and I am looking forward to supporting Ginny, who I know will be an outstanding Mayor for the borough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Councillor Shah, the council\u2019s first female deputy leader of Asian heritage, added:&nbsp; \u201cI just cannot think of two people better to represent our borough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth of these ladies are amazing role models.
