The local postman has&nbsp;been wearing fancy dress during his shifts to cheer up the local residents up during isolation.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s&nbsp;now gone one step further and created a NHS inspired \u2018Nutty Hair Style\u2019 to help continue to raise money for the Bolton NHS Charitable fund.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Davies&nbsp;has been doing his daily rounds dressed as anything from a viking to a rockstar. He&nbsp;says he originally was inspired by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunderlandecho.com\/news\/people\/meet-postman-doing-his-rounds-fancy-dress-cheer-families-2520497\">postman called Jon<\/a> who works in Sunderland who was delivering in fancy dress to cheer people up during lockdown.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Davies has now decided to go the extra mile and set up a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/fundraising\/andrew-davies117?utm_campaign=pfp-share&amp;utm_content=Andrew-Davies117&amp;utm_medium=fundraisingpage&amp;utm_source=Facebook&amp;utm_term=6e7WGbawv&amp;fbclid=IwAR3p6W_Lae1ljBNy14W2ZuTyb_GlPKG5Auy8yn9FTsaiVxB6TolxSDdQoqg\">fundraising page<\/a>&nbsp;on Just Giving to raise money during lockdown with an NHS inspired look.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Davies said he began thinking about raising money and, as he was running out of costumes, he decided to do something with his hair.&nbsp;\u201cPlaying on the initials NHS, I thought of Nutty Hair Style and ended up with the idea of a Mohican.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He went on to say: \u201cSeeing everything being lit up blue in support of the NHS gave me the idea to dye it. And then I thought &#8211; let\u2019s go the whole hog and do the goatee too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Davies has now raised over \u00a31500 for the Bolton NHS Charitable Fund, although this is not the first time he has raised money for local charities. He took&nbsp;part in a Blues Brothers and The Commitments tribute act doing charity shows over the years at Horwich RMI.<\/p>\n<p>He said \u201cI\u2019ve also done the Bubble Rush at Queens Park for the last 4-5 years with my little lad and other members of my family. It raises money for Bolton Hospice.
