Salford student Luca Darlington, 20, said: \u201cThis is a great scheme as it promotes green modes of travel; I can\u2019t wait to see the scooters around campus.\u201d <\/p>\n
Student Verity Brown, 26, said: \u201cIt will be interesting to see how the student body reacts to the scheme \u2013 I can\u2019t see myself using the scooters as I think they aren’t necessary as Salford is small. They also look quite childish.\u201d <\/p>\n

The scooters can be unlocked by scanning a QR code and will cost \u00a31 to rent and 15p per minute to ride \u2013 geofencing technology will be used to ensure the scooters do not leave their designated areas or break speed limits. <\/p>\n
