Setterington, an internationally recognised textile artist, designed and crafted the displays which include colourful safety nets attached to scaffolding&nbsp;and a banner reading &#8216;There is no health without mental health&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>One is situated in Manchester and the&nbsp;other in Salford.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image media-wysiwyg-align-center file-default media-element\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"textile art mental health \" data-delta=\"1\" data-fid=\"7256\" data-media-element=\"1\" height=\"591\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.satellite.mmu.ac.uk\/northernquota-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/437\/2021\/10\/img_1594.jpg\" title=\"Slogan banner being stitched together\" width=\"600\"><figcaption>Slogan banner being stitched together ahead of installation<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The campaign draws attention to the mental health crisis within the construction industry, with more than 1,400 construction workers committing suicide between 2011 and 2017 according to the Office for National Statistics, more than three times the national average for men.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Setterington, a senior lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University\u2019s School of Art, said: \u201cI hope it\u2019s a message that everybody can take on board and just think a little bit about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough it\u2019s about the construction industry, the quote \u2018there is no health without mental health\u2019, I just think it\u2019s so pertinent to today.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image media-wysiwyg-align-center file-default media-element\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"scaffolding safety nets mental health\" data-delta=\"3\" data-fid=\"7258\" data-media-element=\"1\" height=\"742\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.satellite.mmu.ac.uk\/northernquota-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/437\/2021\/10\/img_1598.jpg\" title=\"Dr it<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The installations are in place on Chapel Street, Salford, and on Oldham Road in Ancoats, Manchester, and were assembled by two local scaffolding firms.<\/p>\n<p>Lenny Tunnicliffe, of Tunny Scaffolding which installed the Salford scaffolding artwork, has seen the impact of poor mental health within his own firm, with two former employees taking their own lives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had lads that have worked for us that have gone off with mental health, for whatever reason, and it\u2019s sad,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just thought, right, okay, if we can help, we will.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image media-wysiwyg-align-center file-default media-element\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"scaffolding safety nets art\" href=\"https:\/\/www.42ndstreet.org.uk\/\">42<sup>nd<\/sup> Street<\/a>, also collaborated on the campaign, with Dr Setterington holding group workshops for young people throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cI think for them to see how it\u2019s been realised is really good.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image media-wysiwyg-align-center file-default media-element\"><img
