paraeid=\"{5181337d-9933-42b8-a8c7-aed622314c3b}{38}\" paraid=\"1075531816\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">We asked people on the streets what they thought of the issue.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{5181337d-9933-42b8-a8c7-aed622314c3b}{38}\" paraid=\"1075531816\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Kieran Green- Lacey, student aged 18 said: \u201cSpiking has never really worried me until late as there has been so many people being spiked in my area.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{5181337d-9933-42b8-a8c7-aed622314c3b}{38}\" paraid=\"1075531816\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;I think that searches should be conducted on everyone that enters the club\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{5181337d-9933-42b8-a8c7-aed622314c3b}{101}\" paraid=\"2060842108\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Theatre worker Jazz Singh, 25, said: \u201cEspecially with the recent increase in people being spiked I think there should be more security on how people&nbsp;get things through.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{5181337d-9933-42b8-a8c7-aed622314c3b}{101}\" paraid=\"2060842108\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cIn recent times the hostility towards men has changed the way I act on a night out now\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{c6c1c7c5-539e-46b4-836a-1459c771ac3a}{68}\" paraid=\"880583894\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Christina Jones, 19, living in Manchester as a student, said: \u201cI think people could be checked more thorough&nbsp;on the entrance to clubs\u201d, adding that \u201cwe were scared to go out because of the spiking\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image file-default media-element\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Spiking in Manchester\" data-delta=\"1\" data-fid=\"7853\" data-media-element=\"1\" height=\"798\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Ciara King, 19, of Sawbridgeworth, now living and working as a bartender in Manchester, said: \u201cPractically, measures such as checking everyone on the door&nbsp;could help but it may lead to more racial profiling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{c6c1c7c5-539e-46b4-836a-1459c771ac3a}{16}\" paraid=\"37292277\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Retired Janet&nbsp;Treadeell, aged 76,&nbsp;of Lichfield&nbsp;said: \u201cIt\u2019s time something was done, it\u2019s a shame the university students can\u2019t go out and enjoy themselves.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{c6c1c7c5-539e-46b4-836a-1459c771ac3a}{16}\" paraid=\"37292277\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;We were disgusted, police should be involved\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{c6c1c7c5-539e-46b4-836a-1459c771ac3a}{16}\" paraid=\"37292277\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Anthony Jones,&nbsp;31, said: &#8220;I&#8217;ve&nbsp;never been spiked at the moment but I&#8217;ve heard that it happened to a few people so I&nbsp;think that it&#8217;s bad.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{c6c1c7c5-539e-46b4-836a-1459c771ac3a}{16}\" paraid=\"37292277\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;The
