A 17-year-old teenage boy was found dead in a Salford Park on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
Police investigations revealed that Alan Szelugowski was stabbed to death in Clowes Park in the Broughton area of the city around 7.30am.<\/p>\n
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene by the time emergency services arrived.<\/p>\n
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been bailed pending further investigations.<\/p>\n
Police detective Chief Inspector Gareth Davies, of GMP\u2019s major incident team, said: \u201cOur thoughts go out to Alan\u2019s family at this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe ask that they are given privacy at this time to allow them to grieve and come to terms with this devastating incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cGMP is continuing its investigation at pace into the circumstances surrounding Alan\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would urge anyone who may have information or footage that could assist us and our investigation to get in touch with the police as soon as you can.<\/p>\n
