‘Identifying Appropriate Symbol Communication Aids for Children who are non-speaking: enhancing clinical decision making’ (I-ASC) was a 3 and a half year research study conducted from 2016-2019 by Manchester Metropolitan University with the University of Leeds and Barnsley Assistive Technology Service. The research was funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
